Overcome
In Renaissance and other arts, blackbirds tend to have a religious connotation. They symbolize sin and temptation, sometimes the devil. "Overcome" is my artistic depiction of the continued struggle with temptations. In this piece, although ever-present, temptation has been overcome many times before, reflected by the numerous feathers held by the young girl in the image.
